Uses of Biromonol V-350mg

Indications
Biromonol is indicated for the treatment of the following conditions:

Biromonol is indicated for the relief of acute musculoskeletal pain in adults.

Carisoprorolol should only be used for short periods (up to 2 or 3 weeks) because long-term effectiveness has not been established and acute musculoskeletal pain occurs only in short periods.

The mechanism by which carisoprodol relieves the symptoms of discomfort and acute pain caused by musculoskeletal diseases has not been determined.

Animal studies have shown that carisoprodol causes muscle relaxation by inhibiting neurotransmission in the reticular formation of the brain and spinal cord.

Pharmacokinetics
Absorption

The absolute bioavailability of carisoprodol has not been determined. The mean time to peak plasma concentration (Tmax) of carisoprodol is approximately 1.5 – 2 hours. Carisoprodol administered with a high-fat meal does not affect the pharmacokinetics and therefore carisoprodol can be taken with food.

Distribution

Carisoprodol is rapidly distributed into the central nervous system.

Metabolism

Carisoprodol is metabolized mainly by CYP2C19 in the liver to form meprobamate.

This enzyme is subject to genetic polymorphism (see patients with reduced CYP2C19 activity).

Excretion

Carisoprodol is excreted renally and partly non-renally with a half-life of approximately 2 hours. The half-life of meprobamate is approximately 10 hours.

Gender: Women have a higher response to carisoprodol than men.

Patients with reduced CYP2C19 activity: Caution should be exercised in these patients.

How to use
Biromonol is taken orally. Swallow the tablet whole with water, 3 times a day and 1 time before going to bed.

Dosage
Biromonol is only for adults.

Dosage: 1 tablet/time x 4 times/day.

Maximum treatment duration is 2 – 3 weeks.
